Better Telecom Pty Ltd Extended Warranty is available for selected Computers including Laptops purchased with optional extended 12 month Warranty.
Extended warranty includes New and Used computers and covers 12 months from the purchase date on the original invoice. Extended Warranty must be printed on your Tax Invoice to be valid.
SUPPORTED PRODUCTS
Better Telecom offers extended warranty on selected computers only. There is no charge for repair of systems that are under warranty subject to some exclusions listed below. To make a claim during the warranty period you must provide this original signed Extended Warranty document and the original Tax Invoice provided to you at time of purchase. Please keep your Tax invoice and Extended Warranty in a safe place as they can not be re issued.
SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE PROBLEMS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY
teleMates Pty Ltd warranties do not cover software-related problems of any type or nature. Nor does the warranty cover problems related to, or caused by, the installation of any hardware item(s) after the date of the original purchase, problems related to accident, malicious damage, Misuse, intentional damage, spilled liquids, or service performed by anyone other than an authorised Better Telecom computer technician. Extended warranty does not cover Batteries, LCD Screens, Keyboards, Mice or other pointing devices, Power Cables, Printers and Internal Power Supplies. Damage due to Electrical Surge and or instability is not covered and we suggest use of surge protectors and UPS devices to extend the life of your computer. Consumables items such as CDs, DVDs, memory cards and headphones are also not covered.
SERVICE AND UPGRADE PARTS SALE
No refunds on service or upgrade parts. Defective parts will be
exchanged for a like part up to 30 days from the date of our purchase and installation. After 30 days from the date of purchase, defective service parts will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s parts warranty.
MANUFACTURER WARRANTY REPAIRS
Should your product be under manufacturers warranty then we suggest your first contact your manufacturer. Allowing a teleMates technician to inspect and or repair your machine may void your manufacturer warranty and Better Telecom cant be held liable for any loss.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
To make a claim either bring your machine to our Service Centre or call our customer service team on 131 501 to obtain an RA (Return Authority) number. Goods sent to us without an RA number will not be serviced.
All repairs performed by the teleMates are guaranteed for the remainder of the extended warranty period. In cases where parts were replaced, the new part is guaranteed for the remainder of the extended warranty.
Memory upgrades carry a manufacturer warranty. After 30 days you will need to contact the manufacturer for replacement.
Due to space limitations, we request that you pick up your equipment promptly. Equipment left after 30 days will become excess and will be discarded accordingly without any compensation to the original owner. Equipment not picked up with 30 days will be considered abandoned and will be discarded.
No Trouble Found: Occasionally we will receive a machine for repair that we cannot find a problem with or duplicate the problem described. In cases such as this, there will be a $45 minimum troubleshooting charge.
If the problem with your machine reoccurs within 30 days, we will apply the previous $45 charge to the new service provided. If there is an additional charge, you will be notified before the work is done.
teleMates technicians may ask you to uninstall freeware applications that are known to cause system problems before they begin troubleshooting. teleMates is not responsible for any lost data.
ORDERED PARTS
If your machine needs a part to repair it that is not covered by warranty, we will contact you before ordering the part with an estimate of the cost of the part and the amount of the labour cost involved. All parts are ordered with your consent. When we order parts on your behalf, you will be charged for the parts and any associated labour cost. Our vendors will not allow us to return parts for credit.
For warranty work, parts may be new or refurbished, and are warranted for 90 days from the date of the repair.
TURNAROUND TIME
First come, first served; first in, first out. We make every effort to troubleshoot every machine that enters our shop within 48 hrs. However, due to periods of increased workload it may take longer to contact you with a diagnosis. A time estimate will be given when you drop your machine off.
PAYMENT
Should payment be required this must be paid in full before we release your goods. Your goods are held in trust for payment of our goods and or services.
