USED PC WARRANTY
teleMates offers a 30 day warranty on all used, Ex Lease and or Display computers and related equipment. Our warranty starts from the date of invoice and only covers the original purchaser. In the unlikely event that you have a problem this warranty is 'Back to Base' meaning that you need to return the item to us at your own expense to claim a warranty. When claiming a warranty you will be required to have an original copy of the receipt of purchase. There is no charge for repair of systems that are under warranty.
SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE PROBLEMS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY
teleMates Pty Ltd warranties do not cover software- related problems of any type or nature. Nor does the warranty cover problems related to, or caused by, the installation of any hardware item(s) after the date of the original purchase, problems related to accident, spilled liquids, or service performed by anyone other than an authorised teleMates computer technician.
teleMates technicians may ask you to uninstall freeware applications that are known to cause system problems before they begin troubleshooting. Any and all Battery conditions are not covered by any warranty. Better Telecom is not responsible for any lost data.
SERVICE AND UPGRADE PARTS SALE
There are no refunds on service or upgrade parts. Defective parts will be exchanged for a like part up to 30 days from the date of purchase and installation. After 30 days from the date of purchase, defective service parts will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s parts warranty.
MANUFACTURER WARRANTY REPAIRS
Should your product be under manufacturers warranty than we suggest you first contact your manufacturer. Allowing a teleMates technician to inspect and or repair your machine may void your manufacturer's warranty and Better Telecom can not be held liable for any loss.
REPAIR SHOP WARRANTY
All repairs performed by teleMates are guaranteed for 30 days from the date that the repair was performed.
In cases where parts are replaced, the new part is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of the repair. The Repair Shop Warranty applies to repairs performed to a machine for a particular symptom. If several symptoms are repaired, then the Shop Warranty applies to all the symptoms repaired. If your machine develops a new symptom within the
30-day period after your machine was repaired, the new symptom will be treated as a new repair, and incur our usual and customary charges.
Due to space limitations, we request that you pick up your equipment promptly. Equipment left after 30 days will become excess and will be discarded accordingly without any compensation to the original owner. Equipment not picked up after 30 days will be considered abandoned and will be discarded. No Trouble Found: Occasionally we will receive a machine for repair that we cannot find a problem with or duplicate the problem described. In cases such as this, there will be a $45 minimum troubleshooting charge.
If the problem with your machine reoccurs within 30 days, we will apply the previous $45 charge to the new service provided. If there is an additional charge, you will be notified before the work is done.
REFUNDS
Refunds will not be processed or considered under the following circumstances:
* If you have simply changed your mind about the product you purchased;
* If the computer has a fault due to any software that you installed onto the computer;
* If the computer has a software virus;
* If we have not been allowed sufficient time in order to properly test and diagnose the equipment;
* If you are unable to connect to other devices, such as a printer or digital camera, due to incompatibility or
incorrect drivers/software;
* If you are unable to configure the modem and Internet Service Provider for Internet Access;
* If the computer has a hardware fault that is repairable under warranty;
* If the computer has a fault that is not covered under warranty, including any battery condition.
If we decide that the best resolution to a warranty claim is to refund, it is understood that all refunds will be paid
via EFT into an Australian Bank account of your choice within 48 hours.
TURNAROUND TIME
First come, first served; first in, first out. We make every effort to troubleshoot every machine that enters our shop within 72 hrs. However, due to periods of increased workload it may take longer to contact you with a diagnosis. A time estimate will be given when you drop your machine off.
PAYMENT
Should payment be required this must be paid in full before we release your goods. Your goods are held in trust for payment of our goods and or services.
teleMates does not accept cheque payments of any description and Credit Card payments require us to copy and hold on file 2 additional forms of ID.
